Geography
We follow the National Curriculum for Geography, broken down into our curriculum assessment ladder. Within the curriculum assessment ladder, learning is shown as small progressive steps that inform the objectives of our teaching and allow us to judge attainment. The Geography curriculum is delivered in both a cross-curricular way and a carousel of geography lessons (Summer term) and there is a focus on geography in an annual Geography week.
History
We follow the National Curriculum for History, which is broken down into our curriculum assessment ladder. Within the ladder, learning is shown as small progressive steps that inform the objectives of our teaching and allow us to judge attainment.
The History curriculum is delivered cross-curricular and is the focus of all learning in an annual History week and a carousel of history lessons (Autumn term).
Religious Education
We follow the National Curriculum for Religious Education, broken down into our unique curriculum ladder. Within the curriculum ladder, learning is shown as small progressive steps that inform the objectives for our teaching and allow us to judge attainment.
The Religious Education curriculum is delivered in a cross-curricular way and is the focus of all learning in an annual RE week, a carousel of Religious Education lessons (Spring term).
We also learn about all the major World Religions major festivals in whole school assemblies throughout the year.
